About My Music
Music has always been a passion of mine. I started out teaching myself piano a couple years
before high school, and practiced relentlessly. Some weekends, I would play for hours and hours
until exhaustion set in. After I started to become pretty proficient, I decided that I wanted to
to pick up guitar as well, so I set off to learn that by myself as well. After years and years
of practicing music by other people, and becoming fairly proficient at it, I decided I really
wanted to write some songs of my own. I wrote little things here and there, but I never seemed
to write a full blown song.
About 4 years ago, I moved up to Phoenix into an apartment of my own. I decided that it was
finally time to pursue my desire to write and record music. I did a LOT of research on music
recording, and after reading a lot of beginner's guide, bought some cheap equipment to get my
feet wet. I spent one weekend straight( over 40 hours ) writing and composing both Unbinded
and Disguises. Those were the first songs I had ever written, and they turned out to be
favorites among a lot of people. The first recordings were pretty awful, so I later
re-recorded, added drums, and worked on the arrangement and mixing, after I gained
years of experience and better equipment.
Over the last 4 years, I never stopped studying and learning about the process of recording
music. It's been tough to find enough time to dedicate to recording music, but I have
never stopped writing. I currently have 18 songs with full lyrics that are ready to be
recorded. Over the years, I've continually upgraded my equipment, and I am pretty
happy with the collection I've amassed. Check out the equipment link to see all
of the items I use regularly, and get an idea for the cost involved. I'm finally
at the point where I have everything I need to record amazing music, but I'm
lacking the experience and knowledge necessary to make my recordings sound
like production cd's. I hope to get better and better, and I hope by the time
I release my cd with all 18 songs, it will sound like something you would buy
in the store. Anyways, sit back, relax, and enjoy the music I've posted here!
