For most of my setlists, I add a few blank pages, and write short notes for the songs on them.

It'd be awesome to have a 'global' copy/paste system.  Being able to add annotations on one file (like write my notes on the actual songs), copy them from there, exit and go to a different file (my notes sheet), and paste what I copied.

With the upcoming annotations redesign (which is almost done, I'm just still going through internal testing of all the features before the beta test), it's possible to copy annotations from any song and paste them in any other song. So you'll have exactly what you are asking for.
