Not a real problem to me but I've noticed that in instrumental only lines the square brackets aren't shown if there is no other text on the line that could be interpreted as lyrics.

Which version are you using? I use that all the time.
The attached screenshot is from MSP Win 3.3.6
Seems still working as before with 3.3.7
Sorry - my fault for not including the relevant information.
I should have explained that I'm displaying the chords in-line when I'm using MBS. This is to match up with the files used by the groups I belong to. The eventual aim is to be able to project the screen so that everyone is using the same version and doesn't need to bring masses of paper to the meetings.
I'm using v3.3.7 for Windows but this has happened on all the prior versions I've used.

Updated to 3.4.0 today and used it before reading your post. I suddenly realised it was fixed in the middle of a song but managed not to let it put me off.
