From my experience, the midimate 2 cable cannot work with 2 apps
It's MSPro or USB midi monitor, and if I connect with MSPro, then USB midi monitor I have errors too
In such case, try to close apps, plug out the midimate cable, start one app and plug in the midimate cable

When you send a program change with your devices, what does USB midi monitor see?

By the way, sorry if my sentences are weird, I'm french and doing what I can to be clear!
