e-ink version 3.9.16 keeps signaling update - shiihs - 03-16-2025
Hello,
I'm using the e-ink version of MobileSheets on a Boox TabX (android 11).
Since a few days, every time I start MobileSheets I get a warning about an available update to 3.9.17.
Doing an update doesn't make the alert go away.
Is this a case of "the update is only for non-e-ink devices and can be ignored" or rather a "Oops I forgot to upload a new e-ink version" or something else?

I'm wondering if this is caused by the CDN caching an old version of the installer. I have forcefully purged the CDN so that the current files will be provided. Can you check to see if this has resolved the issue for you? If so, I'll have to add an extra step to ensure the CDN purges the old files after uploading updates.

I updated my Boox Tab Ultra C from 3.9.16 to 3.9.17 and I don't have the reported problem, the update worked correctly. No additional update request when starting MobileSheets. 'Check for Update' reports 'No Update Available'.

I redid the update and now it shows the changelog for 3.9.17! Seems to be solved. Thanks! (Not sure if it is entirely expected that the changelog shows up as having no entries for 3.9.17 though)

That does sound strange - there are certainly quite a few changes listed for 3.9.17.

On my Boox Tab Ultra C the Change Log for V 3.9.17 shows about 15 entries, same as V 3.9.17 on my Android phone (didn't check in every detail)
