MSP on Boox eink device, specifically Note Max 13.3? - ssmms - 07-17-2025
Does anyone have any experience with annotation on the Boox e-ink devices? From some Reddit post a few years ago it seemed there were lag and ghosting issues. Technology has improved much since then; so am hoping it’s better.
I’m specifically looking for advice on the note max 13.3. It uses the most recent Carta 1300 dpi technology.

I have a Tab X and it works fine. I'm extremely happy with it.
Annotation positioning is not always perfectly accurate, but there's always the nudge tool to fix that. I don't know if the positioning issue is e-ink specific but it seems to be affected by the direction I remove the stylus in. Some things are affected more than others, and some not at all. It's really no big deal.
I've had no problems with lag or ghosting at all.
It uses a Carta 1250 screen (2200 * 1650 at 207 dpi)
