Change settings regarding subdirectories for songs - ronnie - 07-22-2025
Hi,
so far, I have imported all my songs with the option "create subdirectories for songs" unchecked, i.e. there are about 10 audio files per song and 1000 songs in one large folder now. I would like to change that setting to have all my song files stored in one folder each, but checking the corresponding setting doesn't do anything. I tried backuping and reimporting my library without success.
Is there a way to get MobileSheets to adapt all previously imported songs to the new structure?
I'm on Android, MobileSheets manages my files and I have access to the storage location as well as the synchro to Google Drive, so I can check whether the folder structure is present or not.

If you change the create subdirectories per song setting, then restore your library backup and uncheck the option to restore application settings, then it should clear everything out and place the song files in subdirectories. If you encounter an issue with this, then it will be fixed with the next update, as I made some adjustments to the code for the next update.

thanks for your answer. I tried clearing and then importing my whole library without importing the settings (I haven't noticed this option before, thanks for pointing that out), but there are still no folders created.
I will try again once the update is released
