I'm not sure I entirely understand what it is you are trying to do. If you set up the MIDI commands in the song itself, those commands will always be sent right when the song is loaded. If you instead use a smart button to trigger the sending of the MIDI commands, then you can trigger that smart button either with a tap or with a pedal. So you could set up multiple smart buttons in the song and each time you press the pedal, it can trigger a different smart button. Just change the pedal action to "Activate next smart button" (going off of memory, but it should be easy to find). You can also trigger smart buttons when receiving MIDI messages using MIDI actions.
