Using MS on my MS Surface via Bluestacks
#1
Hi:

I have version 4.1.6 installed using Bluestacks on my MS Surface Pro 3. When trying to import files from my surface, I see my "data" folder, but I cannot access it. Is there a way to give permissions for Mobilesheets to access my file directory?

Also as a workaround, I tried to use Dropbox. I am able to browse my dropbox folders and import one file at a time, but when I try to import multiple files, I get the error message stating that a song cannot contain multiple files.

I saw another post stating that there is a quick import feature. I don't know if that is only in the beta version. I couldn't find it.

Thanks in advance.

Dear David:

I am also using the Intel i7 Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Please let me know when you get everything functional with MobileSheets. I also use MobileSheets on my Amazon Kindle Fire 8.9" HDX.

Call me. I am in Saint Louis, Missouri (Central Time).

Where are you?

It is very unwise to publish personal details, such as address, phone number, etc. on a public forum. Any such information should only be in a PM or direct email to the other party

Are you using this on an actual android device also, or just on your Surface?

Bob,

Here are some links related to bluestacks file access:

http://support.bluestacks.com/hc/en-us/a...BlueStacks-

If you want to use dropbox, and import multiple files at once, the best bet is to use the batch import feature. Quick import is only available in the MobileSheetsBeta. To batch import from Dropbox, tap the folder icon in the batch import dialog, then tap the dropbox icon at the top of the screen. Select the folder in Dropbox you want to import from, then tap OK to finish. Tap OK again to start the batch import. All of the files in the given folder should be used to create songs in your library.

Hi Mike:

Thanks! It took me a while to find the batch import dialog. I believe I must have been ina song dialog window. It worked once I was in the correct spot.

Regarding bluestacks, I tried the third option of changing the registry... but when I went to the directory it stated, I couldn't find it. I realize it has nothing to do with MS, so I'll keep looking. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
