I too recently purchased the Samsung S7+ and am very satisfied with it.  The only thing I don't like is that when the tablet is set in the portrait position on my music stand, the power plug on the bottom which is a problem.  Yes, you can turn the tablet upside down (moves power plug to the top) and it works fine, except when you are starting up & logging in when everything is upside down.  I am going to try to find a holder that attaches it to a mic stand, where the power plug socket will be exposed.  Have to wonder why the designers would put the power plug on the bottom when they should know people will set it on something? Otherwise, very nice.

My Pixel Slate has charging ports on both sides.
If it's only bottom it's due to cable strain.
Why don't you still small hole into your music stand?
S7+ battery would last more then 10 hours to flip sheet music. Do you need more?

I mainly use this tablet in my studio, so rather than discharging and recharging the battery, I like to keep it plugged in all the time.
What you said about the charging plug being on the bottom for strain relief makes sense. Nice to know there is a reason for it.
Yes, I thought about just drilling a hole in the music stand. That's a possibility. I do see there are a lot of gadgets available for attaching a 12 inch tablet to a microphone stand. Haven't decided which way to go.
