I'm wondering how many KB are used (on average) for a page of music in MSPro.
Having used an app on my Android phone (CamScanner) to scan and export .pdf's of most of my printed music, I'm wondering if I have gone too far.
In many cases, a song may have three repeats which go back over three pages. I have Copy/Pasted the three pages twice, so that I have a nine-page .pdf which I then import into MSPro.
Now I am noticing I could have simply set up those pages to repeat from within MSPro...oh the dreaded learning curve!
So I am wondering if it would be worth the effort to go back, delete the extra pages in the .pdf's and re-import the songs. We're talking about a couple of hundred songs, and at least as many 'duplicated' pages within the .pdf's.
I have not run into any performance issues or lack of storage space problems...YET, but of course one must always be mindful of available space on a mobile device.
Just happened for the first time.. yes, in front of people... oh well.. but my samsung 7 inch tab 3 crashed when trying to load the songs from the set list. Also when using MObile Sheets Pro... the disconnect the Tablet is not highlighted.. which does not allow me to do that at the end. All the other set list songs of over 55 set lists opened.. except this one.
I had uploaded the backup files from my other tablet to my Mobile Pro Companions. Maybe the set list got corrupted when it got loaded onto my desktop from the #1 Tablet? Anyone have any ideas? OF course my vocalist was using the tablet at an outside event... and it was constantly crashing.
I reloaded the file and it still crashed. All the other set lists songs work.. so it must have been uploaded and somehow corrupted?
BTW this is the first glitch with MObileSheetsPro. A great little program and companion. It sure beats carrying around 4 inch binders...
[attachment=391]during batch import with rename for existing files the "Auswahl für alle Konflikte merken" does not work!.
I have to accept the new name of every single file!
I would like to accept all renaming if done as filename(1) or filename(2) if filename(1) already exists.
1 - I was given a load of charts in Chordpro format. Not really used to using these, but I decided to use them anyway.
2 - As supplied to me, these were named as follows;
Artist Name - Song Title.txt
3 - On the PC and using the excellent Total Commander file manager, I batch changed the extent to .cho. I then swapped the name and title around, so I now had the files named;
Song Title - Artist Name.cho
4 - Again using Total Commander, I deleted the Artist and the files are now all;
Song Title.cho
5 - All these files (200+) were placed in a separate directory and was then copied to Dropbox for import into MSP.
NB: This had to be done this way as Companion appears to have some sort of bug when transferring from PC to tablet (see earlier post).
6 - I then set up a Collection (Chordpro) and imported the whole lot into it.
NB: I used a collection so that, if it all went wrong, it was easier to find and delete the mess.
7 - Bingo! Everything seemed to work properly - until I looked at the files in the collection. To my astonishment, they are all named;
Artist Name - Song Title
HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? I had removed the Artist info on the PC, a couple of days ago. I name all my PDF's in a similar fashion and they work as expected.
Obviously, somewhere in the file structure this information must still exist, but where - and how to get rid of it?
I don't usually use charts in this format, but I was presented with a whole bunch of them by a singer and thought I might save a lot of tme through not having to search out proper music charts.
However, for some reason, I can't import them into my tablet. Using Companion, I get an error message for each file, similar to the attached picture.
These files were given to me as .txt and I renamed them to .cho (I also tried renaming to other known Chordpro extents, but the result was the same).
Can anyone more experienced with this format throw some light on the problem?
If anyone is interested in helping with the Greek translation of MobileSheetsPro, I could really use some help. My previous translator is no longer able to help, so the translation is starting to miss a lot of entries. If I'm unable to find a translator soon, I may have to pull the Greek translation out as I think it's probably worse to only have a partial translation.
Did anything ever come of the idea of having the bookmark selection box/dialogue disappear automatically after you have selected a bookmark? Is there a way to make it do this?
