To be fair, most of the issues I was seeing were caused by the bug that I fixed. The bluetooth was reliable again for me after that. Having said that, bluetooth LE should still be easier to connect and use less power if I get it working. It also may not require pairing (although I'll have to verify that). I'm happy everything has been working reliably on Android for you over the years.
