Honestly, I'd get a different pedal or use the tablet that works with the one you've got. I've played hundreds of gigs and rehearsals with several musicians using pedals and never had any issues over BT. I can't use the Firefly type pedal because the action is inconsistent and the pedals have a mushy feel. The cheap Cube Turner pedal works great and I can feel the buttons through my shoes, so I don't have to look to put my foot on the pedal. Airturn was nothing but problems.

I've loaded custom ROMs on phones/tablets before, and it's complicated and scary if you you don't know what you're doing.
