Scrolling and ChordPro Files
#1
Hi,
I have been using MobileSheets for a long time, but just recently was introduced to the "chordpro" file format by a friend of mine and have been working on creating a setlist for my next gig using this more flexible format.  In the past I would create custom PDFs for each chart.

Anyway.  One limitation I seem to be running into is that I cannot crop off the bottom whitespace of the final page and so the song scrolls away into a mostly white screen.

I use infinite scrolling - basically I'm recreating the UltimateGuitar experience for myself but just with a much better and more reliable app - however after a song is imported into MobileSheets it decides where the "page breaks" should be, even though I do not use pages at all.  So on many songs I end up with a final page with lots of white space at the end.  I cannot seem to find a way to stop the autoscroll, nor can I crop off the bottom of those pages (they say "uncroppable" in MobileSheets).

Is there a way I can accomplish what I want?  It's hard enough to approximate the scroll speed as it is.   Even at the slowest speed, it is often too fast, so I am "scroll managing" and I need as much text to remain on screen as possible at the ends of songs.

At the moment, no, you can't have MobileSheets crop the bottom of the last page to remove whitespace. That would be a feature I would need to add, and it would only really make sense for the vertical scrolling display mode when using ChordPro or .abc files. I'm not opposed to supporting this though, as I can see the value in it. If you need an even slower scroll speed, you can tie it to the metronome tempo, and just use a really low tempo if you don't need the metronome.

This would be wonderful. I love the App, however, Chordpro page display is a major weakness. Scrolling, page turns, editor, landscape display, scaling, transposing all could be improved. The sheet music PDF display is well thought out, tight and powerful. Us chordpro users are feeling a little unloved.

Those criticisms are all a little vague. You are going to have to provide more information if there are changes you want (or point to posts where those requests were made).

Many of these issues may be due to my setup. I use MS with a Chromebook; multi hdmi output to TVs. This is for band, Jams, Open mics. 1000's of tabs. This requires landscape orientation as android does not display portrait to a TV. If the song fits on the two page screen, all is good. If the tab is long, the problems start. Page 1 and 2 are on the screen, when the page is turned, nobody knows if pages 2 and 3 are displayed or 3 and 4 are displayed. There is a short train wreck. Horizontal scrolling or page animation could help.  Vertical scrolling just doesn't work well in landscape for me.

The editor is a little too simple in my opinion. A few improvements could be...

Insert Menu should have colors (<span foreground=#008800>), Bold and Italic keystroke commands or a way to format text. (WYSIWYG would be awesome)
There is no Find and Replace
Removing chordpro directives, margins, extra spaces and extra blank lines could be made easier
The Move command should use keyboard arrow keys or even mouse

There is no way to transpose a tab for Mr "I sing that song in D#" and not have it not save it in the wrong key.

Built in chordpro conversion to input this without running a third party converter... (see https://chords.menees.com/)
(Actually Ultimate Guitar should output chordpro)

I'll sit and listen to them by myself
