Issue with links when using 1/2 page turns
#1
Hu,

I've only recently started using MobileSheets (e-Ink version) and have needed to use links for the first time today.

I am using a foot pedal for page turning, with 1/2 page turn option enabled and "Activate Next Link or Go to Next Page" set on my pedal.

I have to jump from page 3 to page 4 a third of the way down page 3.

When I get to the bottom half of page 2, I do a page turn, which correctly then displays the top of page 3 and the bottom of page 2, with my "link circle" visible in the top part of page 3.

When I press my pedal again, I was expecting to jump to page 4 as the link is visible on the page, but instead I get the bottom of page 3 displayed, and I have to press my pedal again to activate the link to page 4.

Is this correct behaviour?  I was hoping that because the link is visible it would activate in preference to displaying the rest of page 3, which I don't actually need to see.

Of course, the other option is I'm just not used to using MobileSheets yet and should be pressing the pedal automatically as soon as I get to the top of page 3, and then the link would activate as the whole of page 3 is already displayed.

Thanks
Richard

Yes, that's how it is currently implemented. If users would prefer it to trigger link points that are visible even when displaying half pages, I can look into making that change. It helps if more people post their opinions on this so that I don't make a change that will mess up any workflows.

As you don't actually need to see a good part of page 3, try cropping the parts of page 3 that you don't need.  I have a suspicion (untested) that the link will then do what you want.

You might try using scroll. Then you can get a page to move at a speed you can follow (still triggered with the pedal) and if a link is visible, it is used.

I did try that, but the remaining page scaled to fill the screen, stretching it all out of proportion.

I suspect there is an option to stop this, so will investigate this further.

I'm not sure it is something that you can change without making it an option that can be toggled on/off, as I'm sure some people would find it very annoying if they are used to pressing the pedal as soon as they go to the top of that page.

I often crop large portions and have never seen it scale to fill the page so I suspect you are correct about a setting somewhere.

You have to change the page scaling (https://youtu.be/WXVGHa96ssw) so that the default page scaling is set to "Fit Screen" instead of "Full screen".
