Using the Camera
#1
Hi   I am very new to Mobile Sheets.  I am inputting Songs using my camera on my Samsung Galaxy 10 tablet.  Most music came out fine but some have dark grainy spots.  I have tried different filter settings in MS without luck.  I can try different lighting but I believe I already have adequate lighting.  Are there any suggestions to remove the spots?  One filter setting I tried was Photo.  Does that result in a PDF file lite the other settings?  I don't want to use a lot of storage.  I can scan music using my scanner but that requires that I transfer it to the tablet. Thanks.

I am not getting replies.  The filters for the camera pictures appear before the picture is saved.  The choices are.  Black and White, AUTO, Color, and Photo.  I have more experimenting to do with lighting when taking a photo of the music.  Has anyone else found limitations on using the camera to make a PDF of music?  The convenience is very good and most music comes out excellent.  Thanks.

Using MSP, try Songs>New [top of screen]>camera ikon on the right.
I did a complete book of several hundred and didn't have any problems. I used my phone mounted on a tripod.
I have used "Microsoft Lens" with no problems also.
After playing with it again, it seems that is what you"re doing. Sorry, looks like I have no help to offer. When I did get poor quality, it turned out it was always the original was"bad".

I should have included that I am using the camera in my Galaxy Ultimate S10 tablet.  I will experiment with lighting and hopefully the few music sheets that have some grainy spots will disappear.  Thanks.

I spent an hour working on techniques for taking a photo of music with my tablet camera and found some ways to improve the final quality of the pdf in MS.  My goal was to eliminate grainy spots on some music.  It usually occurred on sheet music that was faded.  Unfaded, clean sheet music processed well using the tablet camera.  BTW I have a Samsung Galaxy Ultimate S10 tablet.  I found that keeping 2-3 feet from the music when taking its picture helped.  I believe trying to keep the tablet plane parallel with the music and directly in front of the music helps.  It makes less processing by the tablet and hopefully a better result.  I may use my scanner and import the music to the tablet for some pieces when necessary.  I thought that my struggles might be common and there might be suggestions.  I believe my Samsung camera to be high quality but maybe not.
