I have given all songs an Song Id number and I have found out how to display the song_Id after the tittle. Normally it's fine to sort the songs A-Z, but I would like to have the opportunity to sort by Song_Id.
Will that be possible ?

There have been other discussions about this, but the song ID field is not really meant to be used like another piece of regular metadata. It overrides the way songs are matched with some features and has significant ramifications if working with other musicians if you utilize things like the library synchronization feature. I would not recommend using the song ID field for this purpose (and I may change this field to be "Synchronization ID" to make it more clear what it's for and possibly introduce a separate "Song ID" field that is just informational). Instead, if you use the custom field, you can then sort on Custom, as that is already supported.

I've been looking for this sort option (by the Custom field).  After checking through the manual a bit more thoroughly I finally found it, and was disappointed that it was only available on the songs tab.

Would it please be possible to include more fields in the sort options for other tabs?  I'd particularly like to see it for use within collections (I.E. once one has opened a collection, to have the option to sort by the Custom field would be quite helpful to me in some instances.)

Might have to add this to the Feature Request forum.

I already have something similar set up:
%TITLE% %CUSTOM:[${CUSTOM}]% %CUSTOM_GROUPS:[${CUSTOM_GROUPS}]%

This displays the song name/title, optionally followed by the Custom field and the Custom_Groups fields in [ ] brackets if they are populated.

I find that generally I prefer the song name as the primary sort.  It's only occasionally that I would find it useful to sort on the Custom field, but when I did it would be VERY useful.
