The editing functions are already great, but I'd like to be able to draw a single staff (with choice of cleff). Right now it seems like the only option is a piano staff.

That's coming with version 3.10.0 which will be focused on annotations. I'm not sure on the exact timeline for when it will be released though as I'm working through finalizing a big update right now, and there may be other smaller updates I need to release after.
