I'm running 4.1.7 and I use to be able to tap in the middle of the tablet and it would bring up the slider at the bottom to increase the PDF size but now it no longer does that. Is there something I need to check in the settings to enable this?

Did you enable performance mode? You can disable performance mode by tapping the sheet music stand icon at the top left corner of the library screen. You will then be able to access the song overlay and zoom slider again.
As a side note, I sent this same response to the email you sent me. Did you not receive that email?
