Firstly, you need to know the reason behind the missing company file because if you don’t know why it is missing then you might have a tough time finding it.
In order to find it, you must open the file explorer and then look for ‘QuickBooks.exe’ file. Press and hold the control key till QuickBooks open. When the window opens up, look for the company file. If it results in an issue then open QB but don’t open the company file and select ‘open a sample file’.
If it doesn’t open or you see an error then it is because of the program and not the company file. If it opens then you can turn off the hosting and try again later.
