I use the setlist facility to combine tunes in twos or threes - a common practice in folk session/barn-dance playing.  When I make up such a setlist 'on the fly' (as distinct from calling up a pre-set pairing) is there a quick way of giving it a name and saving it into the permanent collection of setlists?   It seems a simple thing to need to do so I'd be surprised if it's not possible, but I can't find an instruction for it in the manual.

I made the move from ForScore on the iPad to Mobilesheets on Samsung 12.2". The program looks great and is definitely going to be exactly what I need IF I can overcome this one HUGE problem. After I move my music from Dropbox to Mobilesheets, I am having to hold my finger on each song until "Edit song" appears at the top. Then I'm having to choose the artist and genre on a PER SONG basis. Please tell me that I'm doing it wrong and that there is an easier way. With a large collection, like the Beatles Complete sheet music, I had to do this on each song! It's taking hours per Artist. I still have lots of books to go. Can anyone help please?

I´ve created a new user defined group called "Werknummer" (works number).
In Mobile Sheets Pro this group can be displayed in the header.
Is it possible to display this attribute as an additional column in the overview of MobileSheetsCompanion? This would make it much easier to controll if I have assigned this attribute to all files and to identify errors.
The same applies for Setlist, and Collection.

Help Please!

This is what happened:
I successfully made a library backup from one tablet via MS Companion Pro, resulting in a plausible 8.7 GB msb file (= 1500 pdf with a mp3 each).
Then wanted to restore this backup on another tablet (exact same model, Samsung 12.2), trying to update an older MS database there.
I deleted all related files from that second tablet (via File Explorer).
Both tablets have MS (green), not MSP yet.
I started restore library, with the settings "Restore to default location", unchecked "delete all existing files..." (as they're gone already).
The tablet immediately showed this:

"The backup file seems to be invalid'
"Then ' Error: invalid message received from PC. Ignoring message."

Still, the transfer progress bar eventually began to show a sign of life, incredibly slowly though.
The original backup took ~ 1hour, which was good. 
My estimate for the restoring action, judging from the completion % was 12-14 hours. Not good.
At 7% the backup failed, the devices lost connection.
I watched during the first hour whether any files would show in the folder "com.zubersoft.mobilesheets/files", but it remained empty.

Are 8.9 GB too large?
Does MSCP produce a backup from MS (green) that can´t be played back to MS?

Following the laws of catastrophy, a gig is coming up in three days, and the first tablet (with the full working DB) is, by now, 1000 miles away from me.
I should know these songs by heart...

When I'm searching for songs in the library I often view a certain song and go back to view another song with the same letter. When I'm in "songs" it's working well: it goes back to where I came from, but when I'm searching in an album, after closing the song the library jumps back to "A" which is a bit annoying.

I unfortunately upgraded my Samsung 12.2 Note Pro  OS to 5.0.2 and my "PageFlip Firefly" pedal stopped working.
Does anyone know of a pedal that works with the Android 5.0.2 on a Samsung 12.2?
Or is there any other way around this problem?

I have just started using MobileSheets Pro (few weeks between concerts so it's safe to try something new). About says Version 1.1.8 from Google Play. I have been using the original MonbileSheets for over a year, and think it's great.

I have a 116-page PDF "Hanon The Virtuoso Pianist". I believe I downloaded it from the IMSLP Petrucci website. My copy is here:

In the original MS it loaded OK, with the first few page turns getting the "Waiting" icon for a few seconds (the first two pages are text I skip through immediately), but after taking the time to play the first page of music, successive pages display immediately.

In MS pro the first 7 pages loaded similarly, but page 8 has not loaded in several minutes of waiting. I can page back to page 7, but page 8 is just not coming. I can even page forward to page 9 and beyond, but page 8 is just not coming. Further in, some pages get the Waiting icon for a few seconds, and the waits seem longer than in the original MS (I never had waits this far in).

I have a 5-page PDF "Lange Flower Song", which I scanned myself. In the original MS it displays just fine, without waits.

The 3rd and 4th pages display all white (not even a Waiting icon).

A random selection of about ten songs (out of 1073), shows that every one displays Waiting for a 1/2-second or so before the first page. Sometimes the last page of the previous song is displayed briefly. I seem to have had bad luck in my first two choices. But if I go back to them they still have the same problems.

This is MUCH worse than the original MS. I cannot use MobileSheets Pro until this is fixed. If the first two songs I tried failed so badly, how can anybody use it?


FYI I loaded MS Pro via the PC companion, not via a backup from the original MS. I used the same PC directories from which I loaded MS original.

This is a Hannspree 13.1" tablet. I have two, but only installed MS Pro on one of them. (I am a professional software developer and am paranoid when it comes to computer reliability.)

I have just bought msp (a few days ago) and a samsung galaxy note 12.2 pro and I'm trying to import my library of sheets but without much success. I have imported one file using'local file' but I want to include meta data when importing since I have several thousand files in various folders on my pc. I get the message '0 of 0 files imported' when I try and do a batch import. My sequence is as follows.

Connect the tablet to my computer (windows vista using a usb 2).
Drag folder from computer to root<mnt<sdcard<mspro on tablet
Select 'import' in library view
Select 'batch import'
Set import directory
Select root<mnt<sdcard<mspro
Put a tick beside the folder name I would like to import
Select 'ok'
Set file filter to *.pdf 
Tick the next four options
Set say an artist and genre
Press start

I also used root<mnt<sdcard<mspro to import the single file which worked fine.

I tried to set up the Wifi link with the companion but Wifi is always greyed. That's really a separate problem.

Can anyone advise?

The next update that I'm about to release contains some big changes under the covers including the use of a new PDF rendering library. This change was necessary to support writing out annotations into PDFs (and to support printing). I have some concerns about this library's ability to handle badly constructued PDFs though, as a different user tried out the update and found a number of PDFs that failed to load. I'm looking to gather a handful of people who would be willing to test a beta version of the next update (which would be released using the MobileSheetsPro beta application so it would not affect the regular MS Pro). If anyone is interested in giving me a hand with this, please send me either an email to mike@zubersoft.com with the email you want to be used with hockeyapp or send me a PM on the forums. If you were a beta tester for MS Pro, you can also just tell me which name you used there. I really appreciate the help with this - I want to make sure this next update goes smoothly.

This bug happens often. It seems to choose recently added songs to a set-list and duplicates them. (Same happens on the the Mobilesheetspro App as well).

Anyone know a fix? 

The best fix I could find seems to be pressing disconnect on the tablet (When editing the set-list on the computer) which gets rid of the duplicates. However not the other way around.
