Companion File Name
#1
I see, when making a backup, Companion now populates the filename - nice touch.

However, I was wondering if it would be possible to specify the date format, as I could not find any menu for that?  Currently, it is American format - mm.dd.yyyy - whereas it is more common to use dd.mm.yyyy in Europe, and personally, I prefer to use the international format of yyyy.mm.dd, as it aids sorting.

I can just change it to yyyy.mm.dd. I'd rather do that than have to provide a configuration setting to drive it.

year/month/day is the best choice
I prefer yyyy-mm-dd with hyphens instead of dots.
This is even an international standard, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601 or https://www.w3.org/TR/NOTE-datetime

That would be very good for me (and I agree with itsme, hyphens should be used - I was just being lazy when I typed full stops).  Hwever, it might not be good for other users.  If we have to settle on a single format, perhaps we should have a poll to decide the most popular one?

It would be great if the date could be added also to the backup filename on the tablet. I always change the filename to MobileSheetsProBackup_yyyy-mm-dd.msb

Remembering the last used path for backup seperately from other paths would also be helpful. Backups are typically stored to a different location than other files, often to the SD card.
