I can't work out how to manually crop a PDF. The manual says it's available from the "page preview area", but "page preview area" isn't mentioned anywhere else in the manual and I can't see the icon described on any view I can find. Where is it?

I own a license from Amazon plus MS and MSPro from Google play. Fortunately the Amazon license allows me to run MS on my phone. There are times when limited use on a phone is critical. Unfortunately the play store licenses won't operate on my phone. As a beta tester I know the concerns of allowing the program on a small device. Knowing that I still think that allowing soemthing is better than nothing.  

Ideally I would like to run run MS Pro on my Galaxy Phone. In an emergency or unplanned situation it is very valuable.

If this is not possible then is there a way to load my existing MS Pro backup onto MS on my phone?

I am willing to pay a premium to unlock MSPro on my phone to keep things simple.

Just last week my partner misplaced his tablet. With MSPro on the phone we would have been in a much better situation for our gig.

I can verify that MS runs great on my Galaxy s2 in landscape mode even with limited real estate. There are times when accessing playlists, lyrics or chord changes would be a great feature on the phone.


Ideas please?

I installed on Samsung 12.2 Android with no problems

I installed on PC (Win 7 32bit )  and tried to connect through WIFI, having put in the correct IP address of the Samsung. It could not find it.

Ticked the Enable Advanced connection type to use USB, but did not have all the correct settings, so tried to go back to WIFI but it was greyed out.

Went to uninstall to repair, and said that adb process was running. Killed adb process and removed.( originall showed PID and found the relevant PID in Task manager to kill it )

Went to re-install and comes up with attempting USB connection. Could not change to Manual WIFI as gryed out.

Again uninstall to repair, and said that adb process was running. Killed adb process and removed.

Deleted subdirectory Zubersoft in Program Files

Re-install and comes up with attempting USB connection. This time could cancel and select Manual Connect .

It worked !

Today I tried to open a setlist that was working fine some weeks ago. The setlist itself opens correctly but as soon as I try to open any of the songs it contains MS crashes. It reports "File modifications detected. Processing file changes..." followed by "MobileSheetsPro wurde beendet" (MobileSheetsPro has been closed) and that's it.
The second message is really in German - probably not from MS but from Android.
I tried to open the songs one by one from the "Songs" tab in the library and could find a certain Chordpro file that crashed when I tried to open it. Removed it from the setlist and the setlist worked again.
The file itself is a ChordPro file that was not recently changed, it is several weeks old and I'm sure that it worked once ago.
I attach it together with the screenshots (renamed to .pro.txt because the forum does not accept .pro files)

Have searched this with no luck, but I suspect I'm missing something obvious here. This is with the Pro version, but I had the same problem with the non-pro version too.

When in overlay mode and wishing to add link points the sheets don't shrink down (as I believe they should, so all off the sheet will be visible), therefore you can't link to a point on the sheet if it's obscured by the overlay. Anyone?

I'm seeing an intermittent problem in which, while viewing a song, the entire tablet screen goes black, comes back a fraction of a second later, goes black again, comes back again, and then stays on correctly.

This doesn't happen often; I use MobileSheets Pro almost every night, and tonight was only the second time I've seen this happen; the first time was last Friday, i.e. May 1st.

At this level of frequency it's more a nuisance than a showstopper, but Murphy's law says that if the problem isn't fixed, eventually it will occur in the middle of an important solo passage during a performance.

I was thinking there was an auto page turn with the pro version. Am I mistaken? I can't find anything on it

When the tablet is used in landscape orientation the handling of ChordPro files is pretty inconvenient. As they are formatted based on the portrait tablet screen, the lower part of the pages is not shown. To play from a ChordPro file that is more than one page long I need to both scroll pages and trigger page turns. This requires concentration that I would prefer to use for playing.
IMHO the best solution would be to store two separate ChordPro settings for portrait and landscape and use as many landscape pages as are required to display the full length without scrolling.

#-comments in Chordpro files are not displayed on the screen (as it should be the case). But they are taken into account when "Auto-Size Font" is triggered.
If the file contains #-comment lines that are longer than the longest lyrics line this causes the irritating effect that "Auto-Size Font" calculates too small fonts and the lyrics are displayed unnecessarily small

I have a suggestion for an update to the manual page regarding swapping files.

I just finished replacing a badly-done scan that I took a couple of years ago by an updated version of the same song, and as it happens the new scan is one page longer than the original.

I followed the instructions on page 30 of the manual for swapping the new PDF file into place, and that worked perfectly -- except that at first I thought the swap had failed because I couldn't see the last page of the new file.

Eventually it occurred to me to open the song editor, at which time I saw the Page Order setting under the Files tab; sure enough, that defaults to 1-N, where N was the number of pages in the original PDF.  After the swap, I needed to adjust that to 1-(N+1).

It would have helped a lot if the manual had suggested that this would be necessary.  (It would have helped even more if the page order were automatically reset to the full range of the new file as a side effect of the swap, but I digress.  )
