Smart Button Song Picker |

Hi Mike,
I wanted to use the new smart button feature with the option to open another song.
That's one rare occasion where one of your new features is barely usable (at least for me). I'm talking about the song picking window for choosing the file for the smart button.
You know I have a big library with thousands of songs (as have a lot of other users). If the songpicker doesn't get a fliter, search or letterbar option I have literally to scroll minutes to get to a song in the second part of the alphabet.
Also if I have songs with the the same title (of which I have many) and I can't see the metadata information I can't know which song of several versions I want to choose.
Much better would be if the picking could be done somehow by changing to the normal song library and pick from there.
If that's not possible, maybe you can make the song ID somewhere visible (maybe in the metadata tab) and just let us pick a song by this ID in the smart button song picker.

AirTurn pedal not working |

Hello!
I've always used my AirTurn pedal and it worked perfectly. Now, after few weeks (and MSPro updates) I cannot make it working anymore. It's correctly connected to my Galaxy NotePro12 but it does not turn pages, neither is recognized in the MS Pedal settings if I want to assign it again... any idea/solution? Thanks.

- Fixed several issues with handling file path case sensitivity
- Colons are no longer required for Chord Pro directives, as originally intended
I also want to provide an update on what's coming next. I am currently working on the manuals to include documentation on recently added features. I'm also working on a "how-to" guide that focuses on common tasks in the application instead of detailing every feature and function. After that, I'm considering putting together some video tutorials to help new users with the application. I'm going to try to juggle this with promised enhancements to the app, such as the changes to annotations and synchronization features between Windows 10 and Android. All of that will definitely keep me busy!

BIG MESS: Almost all songs seemed to be duplicated by Batch Import |

Big mess, for a while, a scary ghost experience. After a massive Batch Import (new fakebook), MSPC showed almost double the number of songs in the library, 8969 Songs. Yesterday if was less than half this. It not only added new songs I was importing, it re-added all my existing songs. Except, it was a ghost...
As I've done before, I selected the one folder on my PC where I store all songs I want on my tablet, then I had MSPC do a Batch Import. I always set it to Avoid Duplicate Songs, but to NOT Update songs if matching, not Automtically crop, etc. I figured this was a simple way to get all the new songs into MSP, rather than manually select each of them. This has worked before, no problems.
MSPC ran overnight, showed the normal songs counting along, and then finished. Looking in MSPC, Batch Import added all the new songs, just once. But any song that already was in the library got added AGAIN, creating duplicate records for most than 4 thousand songs. Note that Avoid Duplicate Songs is and was always selected.
Since the duplicates in MSPC show identical path\file name, theyh can't be duplicate files, they must be are massive duplicate database records. Could this happen if Avoid Duplicate Songs failed to function? Or something else, apparently...
Looking for other oddities, I tried to do a single song import into MSPC. It would let me select the song PDF, but then nothing happened. No error, but the file did not get added to MSPC.
The only change in my system was MSPC auto-updating itself, which I believe happened just before the latest incident.
More odd: Disconnecting tablet from PC, checking tablet, NONE of the just-imported files are there. Note that the import process ran for maybe 12 hours, then "completed". But what was it doing? When I terminated the connection on the tablet it popped up a java error.
So, it seems the PC-tablet connection failed. But MSPC did not detect this, and the tablet didn't show a connection failure either. MSPC spent many many hours importing files and presumably updating the tablet, then seemed to complete. My only clue it didn't really happen was seeing all the dupes in the MSPC songs list.
Upon reconnection, I created a current backup on tablet. Then I reconnected tablet and PC. This reloaded the MSPC database from the PC, showing that there are no duplicates, and none of the new songs either. It's like it didn't really happen, though MSPC kept itself very busy for 12 hours or so, counting through the songs. Why did it not detect that something had failed?
Now reconnected with a seemingly normal database, I created a fresh local backup in MSPC. This seeemed to work, except it perhaps got hung. It shows this:
"Transferring data from tablet..."
Progress shows 100% (all green)
Current Song shows a name.
Current File is blank (how can there be a song name but no file (I know this song file, it's a 2-page PDF).
The only button option is Cancel.
I don't want to cancel, I want it to finish. Been this way for almost 15 minutes, seems frozen.
Windows Task Manager shows no MSPC activity.
Tablet shows no activity since I made a local backup 15 minutes ago.
I can Cancel and try to make a backup again.
Or I can Cancel MSPC backup for now, and try Batch Import again. MSPC backup is not crucial since I have all the PDFs separate stored, the main benefit is if/when the tablet version of the library fails (as it did recently when the storage card went bad).
Or what? Am I overlooking something? Or was this just a random connection failure that didn't detect so it kept the Import chugging along? If \so, why has MSPC backup apparently stopped before completing? What should I try next?
PS: I really wish MSP / MSPC had an auto-backup option. Perhaps on a schedule, or simply upon closing ask if a backup is desired at that point. Could save a lot of grief.

1.8.6 - Song notes do not automatically disappear when changing song |

When using song notes, they show on top of the score and disappear after a tap or a timer.
I personally prefer the tap, as my focus my not be on the screen at the time they appear..
Sometimes I skip a few songs in a playlist, and then I have to tap the notes for the song I want to skip before I can turn the page.
Now with the new MIDI actions, I no longer have to reach for the screen to turn pages, I can turn the page through MIDI, and the song does change but the song notes of the previous song stay on the screen.
So I still need to use my hand to tap, but now only for the song notes.
I wonder if it would be possible to make MSPro remove the song notes of a previous song automatically when a new song is loaded ??
Thanks

1.8.6 - MIDI action 'Go to Next Page' also triggered on the library screen |

Starting MSPro, and leaving it on the library screen, and then triggering the MIDI action 'Go to Next page', will cause MSPro to fail.
Restarting it does not work, without reboot of the tablet.
Also, when leaving a setlist and going back to the library screen, and then triggering the 'Go to Next Page' MIDI action. That will cause the next sheet in the setllist to be loaded in the background, although it is not visible on the screen (unless there are song notes - they do show), the related send on load MIDI string is send to my keyboard, causing it to load the configuration for that song, which is not good, as I am not really aware of that change.
If MSPro were to also visualise that song when loading it, I would in fact like that functionality.
The Midi action triggering could of course also be ignored when on the library screen
Thanks

Samsung Galaxy Pro 12.2 and Korg pa |

I’ve noted that Android is updating it’s OS beyond 6. (I heard ver 7!)
I’m not sure if my Samsung Galaxy Pro will accept the latest, but I’m leery to try because of what happened last time. (after upgrading the OS from 4.4.1 to 5.1 the tablet stopped communicating with my pa600 & I had to roll back the OS. (My poor back-up maintenance resulted in loss of data and many songs)
I really treasure the MS Pro/Korg interface, and do not wish to have the original OS reinstalled again by making another mistake. Do any Korg PA/Samsung Galaxy users have any information re the newer OS updates and the stability of the Samsung tablet and the Korg interface? (My understanding was that this was not an Android problem but a Samsung problem.) Several other upgrading apps I use have indicated that they will not continue to support the older OS, so I may need to get another tablet for those needs. I know this will not become a problem for MS Pro users if we don't update the app version.
I'm curious to know how many Korg players have added MobileSheets Pro to their system, and enjoy the benefit of loading the song book resources when selecting a song from their tablet. Also, is it possible in MS Pro to link musicians to the concert master/conductor so that everyone is truly on the same page, if so, are there any bands/groups/orchestras who have done so?
